چکیده
In this study, severe plastic deformation through high-pressure sliding (HPS) was applied for in situ high-energy X-ray diffraction analysis at SPring-8 JASRI (Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute). Allotropic transformation of pure Ti examined terms temperatures, pressures and imposed strain using a miniaturized HPS facility. The true pressure on the sample estimated from peak shift. Peak broadening due to local variation reduced white X-rays. phase ? ? occurred ?4.5 GPa. Straining by processing effective promote maintain even ambient pressure. reverse temperature ?110°C under pressure, while higher as ?4 GPa, remained stable ?170°C covered study. It suggested that is controlled thermal energy.

High-pressure x-ray tomography microscope: Synchrotron computed microtomography at high pressure and temperature
A new apparatus has been developed for microtomography studies under high pressure. The pressure generation mechanism is based on the concept of the widely used Drickamer anvil apparatus, with two opposed anvils compressed inside a containment ring. Modifications are made with thin aluminum alloy containment rings to allow transmission of x rays. Pressures up to 8 GPa have been generated with a...
متن کاملIn situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction analysis of deformation behaviour in Ti-Ni-based thin films.
Deformation mechanisms of as-deposited and post-annealed Ti50.2Ni49.6, Ti50.3Ni46.2Cu3.5 and Ti48.5Ni40.8Cu7.5 thin films were investigated using the in situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction technique. Results showed that initial crystalline phases determined the deformation mechanisms of all the films during tensile loading. For the films dominated by monoclinic martensites (B19'), tensile stress...
متن کاملHigh-pressure structure and equation of state study of nitrosonium nitrate from synchrotron x-ray diffraction
Several nitrogen oxide compounds transform to nitrosonium nitrate (NONO3 ) under high pressure. In this study, NONO3 2 was synthesized by laser heating of N2O in a diamond-anvil cell and characterized by x-ray diffraction as a function of pressure at room temperature and low temperature. The unit-cell parameters were refined up to 32.2 GPa at 300 K, resulting in a denser structure than reported...
متن کاملAnomalous high-pressure behavior of amorphous selenium from synchrotron x-ray diffraction and microtomography.
The high-pressure behavior of amorphous selenium has been investigated with time-resolved diamond anvil cell synchrotron x-ray diffraction and computed microtomography techniques. A two-step dynamic crystallization process is observed in which the monoclinic phase crystallized from the amorphous selenium and gradually converted to the trigonal phase, thereby explaining previously observed anoma...
